Abstract
Human resources department is an important asset for the company. Department’s decision is risky because of their roles are directly related to the business operations and strategy implementation in the company. The purpose of this research is to gain insight about the perceptions of risky decisions based on the role of the employee of human resources department. In-depth interviews conducted for the human resources department employees and content analysis is used to process data obtained. This study shows that the perception of risky decision-making is the result of the self consideration and the process of negotiation with other parties. Subjects tend to avoid risk but the occurance of inevitable risk considered as the responsibility of human resources department employees.
